Overnight Oatmeal (non-dairy)

Things You Need

  • 1 pt jar or bottle
Overnight Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1 to 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup Oatmeal (Quick or Regular)

Directions

  1. Heat water to near boiling (I use a glass measuring cup and the microwave)
  2. Put measured oatmeal and cinnamon in the jar
  3. Carefully pour the hot water into the jar (I put the jar in a bowl or pan in case the jar breaks)
  4. Stir
  5. Let it sit for a while, then stir again (repeat as often as you like)
  6. When the jar is cool enough, put the lid on and store this in the refrigerator for up to 4 days
  7. Reheat either in the jar with a microwave or on the stovetop in a pan

Optional

Add most anything you like as long as it can keep in the refrigerator. It may be better to add it just before you eat it.
