Ranch Pudding

Things You Need

  • Deep baking dish (the recipe only fills the pan 1/3 the way but it boils up during the baking process)

Ranch Pudding

Ingredients: Sauce

  • 2 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 T butter or margarine
  • 1/8 t salt

Ingredients: Pudding

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t nutmeg
  • 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 2 T melted butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 t vanilla

Directions: Sauce

  1. Place sauce ingredients in a small saucepan
  2. Let the sauce come to boiling while you make the pudding

Directions: Pudding

  1. Place dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix
  2. Add the wet ingredients and mix
  3. Pour and scrape into a greased 2 quart casserole baking dish (mixture rises while baking so leave room for pudding to tripple in size)
  4. Gently pour sauce over pudding by pouring it into a large spoon held closely over the pudding
  5. Bake 350° for 30 minutes
  6. Serve warm topped with whip cream or ice cream


Add 1/2 cup each of nuts and/or raisins. To me this is not an option since it greatly improves the desert.
