A great main course

Prep time 10 minutes, baking 90 minutes

Things You Need

  • Loaf pan (about 9" x 5" x 3")
  • Cutting board and knife
Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 3 1/4 cup oatmeal (quick or old fashioned)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup diced onion (or more)
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t dry mustard
  • 1 clove garlic

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Mix all ingredients well
  3. Place in ungreased loaf pan
  4. Bake uncovered for 90 minutes (1 1/2 hours)
  5. Serve hot

Optional

Serve or bake with catsup (Ketchup).

Cooking Tip: Add a slice of bread to each end of the loaf pan before putting the meat in and baking. These bread slices should soak up much of the grease while the meatloaf is baking. Discard these bread slices as the meatloaf is removed from the oven, before anyone can see them.
