Tuna Pasta Salad

Should serve four

Could be a side or a main dish.

Things You Need

  • Mixing bowl
  • Sauce pan
  • Range, hot plate, or some other heat source
  • Refrigerator or something to cool the salad in
Tuna Pasta Salad


  • 8 oz uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 dill pickles, chopped
  • 6 oz Colby-Jack cheese, cubed
  • 1 (6oz) can albacore tuna in water, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
  • 1/2 t prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 t dill pickle juice


  1. Bring a sucepan of lightly salted water or a boil
  2. Add the macaroni and cook until tender, about 7 minutes
  3. Rinse under cold running water, then drain well and pat lightly with paper towels
  4. In a large bowl, stir together the macaroni, pickles, cheese, tuna, mayonnaise and mustard
  5. Season with a splash of pickle juice, salt and pepper
  6. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving


Add peas, corn, celery, or other good vegetables.
