Chili (Core)

Prep time an hour or more

Things You Need

  • A Crock Pot, or a regular pot
Core Chili


  • 2 large cans red kidney beans
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 lb lean ground beef, cooked and crumbled
  • Handful of diced onion
  • Sprinkle of chili powder
  • Garlic salt


  1. Combine all ingredients in CrockPot or pot
  2. If in CrockPot, cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 6 hours
  3. If in a regular pot, simmer for at least 1 hour

Longer cooking tends to blend flavors best but don't let it burn or scald the pan.


Serve with a sprinkle of fat-free cheese or a dab of fat-free sour cream.

Goes well with core cornbread.
