Extra Easy

Prep time 10-15 minutes

Things You Need

  • A Large Saucepan
  • Can opener
Tamale Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 can Tamales (I use Hormel)
  • 1 can Chili with Beans (I use Stagg)
  • 1 can Stewed Tomatoes, diced prefered
  • 1 can condensed Tomato Soup (Optional)

Directions

  1. Open the can of tamales and dump them into the saucepan, liquid and all
  2. Remove the paper from the tamales
  3. Cut them into 1" or shorter pieces
  4. Add the contents of each of the other cans
  5. Heat and stir
  6. Continue to heat, stiring now and then until the soup is hot enough
  7. Serve while hot or warm

Good Optional Ingredients

This can be made hotter or cooler tasting by adjusting what you put into it. I use Mexican style stewed tomatoes which add extra spice. The chili used can be spicy or mild too.
