When You Are Ready, Take a Ham Exam

No contact testing works. Test from home with many of these VEC's. The best seems to be GLAARG. Learn more on their FAQ page.

Only the FCC Certified Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (VEC) can administer the test. There are currently 14 VEC's in the United States and each of them have several teams of testing groups.
