When You Are Ready, Find and Take a Ham Exam


Only the FCC Certified Volunteer Examiner Coordinators (VEC) can administer the test. There are currently 14 VEC's in the United States and each of them have several teams of testing groups.

  • Has the best web site with the ability to search for local clubs, classes, and exam sessions
  • Local to me, regular testing is at the following:
    1. Redlands, Plymouth Village: First Saturdays at 8:30 am (Walk-ins allowed)
    2. Moreno Valley, Kaiser Hospital: First Saturdays of even months at 8:30 am (Walk-ins allowed)
    3. Loma Linda, Loma Linda Fire Station: Second Thursdays at 5:00 pm (Walk-ins allowed)
    4. Hemet, Valley Wide Rec Center: Second Saturdays at 8:30 am (Walk-ins allowed)
    5. Highland, Patton State Hosp. Staff Training Room: Third Saturdays at 9:00 am (Walk-ins allowed)
    6. Riverside, American Forces Network-Broadcast Center: Third Wednesdays at 2:00 am (Reservation Required)
    7. Loma Linda, VA Hospital-Third Thursdays at 5:00 pm (Reservation Required)
