- Technician (Element 2)
- The entry level license
- Passing this test gets you a call sign
- You must pass this test before you can take the higher level tests
- General (Element 3)
- The second level license
- A general can transmit on almost twice as many frequencies
- This is the first level where you can be a Volunteer Examiner but you can only test technician level tests
- Amateur Extra (Element 4)
- The third and final level license
- An amateur extra can transmit on any amateur frequency
- At this level you can be a Volunteer Examiner for all levels
Technician
Valid from July 1 2022 to June 30 2026.
General
Valid from July 1 2023 to June 30 2027.
Amateur Extra
Valid from July 1 2024 to June 30 2028.
